Amber Heard Fired PR Team After Negative Headlines Around Court Case

Amber Heard has reportedly fired her PR team as a copious amount of negative headlines emerge during her trial with Johnny Depp.

Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April in Fairfax, Virginia.

During the course of the trial so far, many unflattering headlines about Heard have emerged and favour for Depp shows up online as #justiceforjohnny is currently trending.

The actress has been ripped apart online by Depp fans and a video was posted online where she was booed when leaving the court building.

People can be heard shouting insults at the actress, as well as whistling and booing her, one person even shouts “Where’s the money for the charity?” in reference to Heard’s previous pledge to donate $3.5 million to ACLU – she reportedly sent them $1.3 million.

Now, the star has made the decision to drop her PR team, Precision Strategies, with one source telling the New York Post that:

“She doesn’t like bad headlines,”

Another source said Heard is ‘frustrated with her story not being told effectively’.

The lawsuit continues this week between the pair, with Heard’s team expected to take the stand tomorrow (3 May).
