Brian Laundrie’s Family Attorney Confirms Why Parents Kept The Gun A Secret

The cause of death of Brian Laundrie has finally been announced weeks after his body was found.

Laundrie’s remains were found in a Florida nature reserve last month after a huge manhunt.

His cause of death has now been confirmed as a gunshot wound to the head, and the death has been ruled as a suicide.

An attorney for the Laundrie family told CNN:

“Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide. Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.”

Internet sleuths have reacted to the cause of death announcement, and they have one question: where is the gun and where did it come from?

And it has sparked a number of conspiracies:

Well, now we know that Laundrie’s parents discovered a gun was missing when they surrendered their weapons to law enforcement on the day that their son was announced as missing, on September 17.

The family lawyer, Steve Betolino, has confirmed that law enforcement agreed with Laundrie’s parents to not make the missing gun public knowledge.

Bertolino told CNN:

“It was best for that information to not be public.”
“Imagine, with the frenzied atmosphere at the time, if the public thought Brian had a gun,”
“I cannot speak to why (law enforcement) did not reveal the info but we spoke about it at the time and I believe they felt as I did.”
The circumstances that led to Gabby Petito’s death remain a mystery.
