Johnny Depp’s Island Manager Testifies that the actor was passed out drunk in front of his upset kids.
Tara Roberts, the manager of Depp’s private island in the Bahamas, testified in court via live video link. She claimed the Pirates of the Caribbean actor passed out drunk in the summer of 2013.
Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April in Fairfax, Virginia.
During cross-examination by Elaine Bredehoft, Heard’s lawyer, Roberts claimed she once saw Depp passed out drunk in front of Lily-Rose and Jack Depp. The incident supposedly happened summer of 2013 when Depp and his family were on one last trip on his yacht, the Vajoliroja, before he sold it to J.K.Rowling.
During the testimony, Bredehoft asked Roberts if she remembered when Lily-Rose and Jack “were upset on the yacht and wanting to leave it immediately” so Roberts arranged for a helicopter to come and take the kids away, with Heard.
The island manager confessed she did remember arranging this transportation for the kids and Amber but not Depp.
“He stayed,” Roberts said.
Amber Heard is due to take the stand later in this legal battle.
