Johnny Depp’s Chef Found Actor’s Finger in Kitchen, Court Hears

Johnny Depp’s Doctor has described the horrific moment the actor’s chef found his fingertip after it was cut off during an event in Australia involving Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor launched a defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in 2019, after she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned for The Washington Post.

In response to this, Heard filed a counterclaim for defamation, with a judge ruling that she could use a defence where her lawyers will argue she is deserving of immunity.

Dr David Kipper gave his digital deposition on day four of the trial, which started last week in Virginia.

Kipper explained how he was hired by the 58-year-old actor in 2014 to aid his recovery from opioid addiction.

Depp’s personal doctor discussed an incident that happened in March 2015 – he travelled to Australia after getting a message from Depp about his injured finger.

Dr Kipper said when he arrived on the scene, Depp was in a car outside the couple’s property with his team of security. Kipper said:

“I went into the home… to instruct one of the people with him to look for the tip of the finger, hoping that we would be able to put it back.”

“I cleaned the wound to the best that I could with the supplies that we had and then took him [to the emergency room].”

When describing who found the fingertip, the doctor said:

“I believe this man was their chef,”…‘he said he found it in the kitchen area’.

In his virtual deposition, Kipper said he saw no clear or visible injuries on Heard at the time, adding that she was ‘certainly upset’, but did not seek medical attention.
