Judge Warns Johnny Depp Fans to Maintain Order During Trial: “I Will Have You removed”

Judge Penney Azcarate gave a stern warning to Johnny Depp fans in the courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia.

Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April.

People in the courtroom audibly laughed as Depp made a joke about not remembering his own movies on Monday.

The actor was asked to list the other movie franchises he had been involved in. After naming Alice in Wonderland, he was unable to remember any other projects he had worked on. Depp then made a joke about how he tends to avoid watching his own films.

Depp said:

“I’m so pathetic when it comes to knowing what movies I’ve done,”

“I’m sorry. I just, I don’t watch them. I feel better not watching them. What was the question again?”

Many people laughed in the courtroom, causing the judge to announce:

“Order in the court or I will have you removed. Understood? Thank you.”
