Kanye West Banned from Performing at Grammys

Kanye West has reportedly been banned from performing at the Grammy Awards due to ‘concerning online behaviour’, according to Variety.

The rapper has not been confirmed as a performer at the ceremony which will take place on 4th April.

A representative of Kanye’s has confirmed reports from The Blast saying the rapper has been scrapped.

A report in The Blast posted on 18th March stated that West’s team has received a phone call acknowledging that he had been “unfortunately” removed from the line up of performing acts.

The representative for West sent Variety a link to the story, only adding:

“This is confirmed.”

They have not responded for a request of any further information.

The report claimed that this decision was made due partially to West’s recent outbursts against TV host and comedian Trevor Noah, who will be hosting the Grammy Awards next month.

The rapper used a racial slur aimed at the host, after Noah commented on his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Kardashian filed for divorce from the rapper in February 2021 and was declared single on 2nd March.
