Over Three Million People Sign Petition Demanding for Amber Heard to Be Axed from Aquaman 2

A petition calling for the removal of Amber Heard in the upcoming Aquaman 2 movie has surpassed 3 million signatures amid the defamation trial with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April in Fairfax, Virginia.

The Change.org petition was created in December 2019, months after Depp first sued Heard, but has gained new traction thanks to more and more details of the toxic marriage being made public.

A disturbing audio recording was played in court of Heard admitting that she hit Depp.

During his last few minutes on the stand, the 58-year-old actor told the courtroom that he believes he is a victim of domestic violence.

The petition description says:

‘Amber Heard has been exposed as a domestic abuser by Johnny Depp.’

‘Since Heard’s divorce from Johnny Depp, she has systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood, repeating multiple accounts of fake incidents in which she had actually abused Johnny Depp, but lied and created false accounts of him being the abuser.’

‘As Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project.’

‘Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry.’

‘Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.’

Heard is due to take to the silver screen in Aquaman 2 alongside co-star Jason Momoa which is set for release March 2023.
