Halyna Hutchins’ husband, Matthew Hutchins, and their young son have been re-traumatised by the Santa fe County Sheriff who released a video of Halyna as she lay dying after being shot on the set of ‘Rust’.
Hutchins was killed when a prop gun held by Alec Baldwin was discharged on set. Baldwin previously broke down in tears and claimed that he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun that killed Hutchins.
New footage of the actor being told the news that Hutchins had sadly passed away has also surfaced.
Matthew Hutchins’ lawyer, Brian Panish, sent an email to Sheriff Adan Mendoza, saying that he had trampled on the families’ dignity and privacy by releasing the horrific footage as well as other evidence in the case.
The lawyer states that Mendoza had previously promised to let Matthew review all the footage but he didn’t on this occasion.
TMZ obtained an email Panish sent, saying:
“Your office trampled on the constitutional rights of Hutchins.”
Debatably even worse, Panish notes that the footage of Matthew’s wife, who lay bleeding as a medical team tended to her, will cause severe damage to both him and their 9-year-old son. Panish wrote:
“We fear, for example, that this shocking footage of Andros’ mother dying may be material used by bullies to emotionally abuse him in the future.”
“We demand that your office respect Matthew, Halyna and Andros Hutchins’ constitutional rights of dignity, privacy, respect and fairness going forward. We also demand that your office take down the video footage of Halyna Hutchins dying on the church floor,”
